Aero club visit -Flight Topic

The year 4, 5 & 6 team visited the Hawke's Bay Aero Club today. Staff and volunteers kindly showed us around. There was lots to see and we were allowed to have a go at the controls in the training plane!

Ben just loves this technology and is a real natural.  This is Ben's video from our afternoon session when we showed parents some of the things we used the i-pads for.  Ben is the first person to use the i-pad to make a video.  I think it may become a very popular tool!

We are at basket ball with Reece

Today we saw a show called "Hiwi the Kiwi".  We listened to songs, danced and heard about how to protect the fish in our seas for future generations.  We heard how the fish population that live in the sea around New Zealand are becoming less and talked about how to be safe on boats by wearing a life jacket.  Simple really.

Unison Visit

We were fortunate to have a visit from the team from Unison.  They talked to us about being safe around power lines.  It really made us think!  Here is a photo of their visit.
